The birth of JPESSystems is based on many years of working in Telecoms electronic engineering, Quality Assurance, Management, Product development and writing code.

When starting new employment in management, I found myself inheriting some management system that was based on individual department heads experiences, this could be from doing everything manually or a mix of it and spreadsheets, passing on information to the next department.

This was not good enough for me! I just saw unnecessary retyping of information, room for error and inefficiency. I also found that mostly a server, PC’s and a network was in place, for me this is just an opportunity to develop a system that would make my life as a manager easier. Even though it was never in my job description to develop a system, I just did it and it always benefited the company and employees. Things would run smoother, all departments had relevant information in real time, and everyone had no excuse they did not know what to do, make and when it should be done by.

My approach to building a system is spending time with each department head understanding the current system, determining with them deficiencies and what they would want to help with their daily tasks. I set about designing a database and then applications suitable for each department all integrated to the database. Over time functionality can be added or refined.
